Kidney Stone Blues
Donald Mercer

Well I woke up this morning, Ah those wonderful dreams
It was one of those nights all peaches and cream
Went to the john, cuz that’s my usual scheme
Felt a deep burnin’ pain in my ding-a-ling-a thing.

Oh, I got a a kidney stone
Got a piece of the rock that I didn’t want to own
Oh, I got a a kidney stone
I got a Rocky Mountain high right between my thighs.
So I called up the doctor but he wasn’t home
Nurse said he’d gone off to Venice, or maybe it was Rome
And I said, “Well, hey nurse, what am I gonna do?”
Nurse said, “We’ll try to fit you in in a week or two.”

I’d gladly change my diet
I’d gladly can the beer
Stop Tokin’ marijuana
Been stoned enough to last me for years.

So I called up the doctor but he still wasn’t home
Nurse said he’d taken time off but he'd be back soon.
And I said, “Well, hey nurse, what am I gonna do?”
Nurse said, “We’ll try to fit you in in a day or two”

Oh, I got a a kidney stone
Got a piece of the rock that I didn’t want to own
Oh, I got a a kidney stone
I got a Rocky Mountain high right between my thighs.
